1996 Caterpillar 3116 DITA turbo diesel engine, military/government surplus, arrangement # 118-9578, 290 HP at 2600 RPM rating, truck applications, fully mechanical fuel system, charge air cooled. Build date is 1996 but engine is built to 1993 year model standard. ENGINE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION -- LOW LOW TIME ON GOVERNMENT WORK -- HIGH HORSEPOWER ENGINE -- WILL FIT MOST ON-ROAD TRUCK APPLICATIONS AS WELL AS SOME INDUSTRIAL USES. TEST RAN EXCELLENT -- APPROX 50 PSI OIL PRESSURE AT IDLE, 90+ PSI AT FULL THROTTLE DURING COLD TEST RUN. VERY UNCOMMON SPEC HERE -- DON'T MISS THIS ONE !! NO CORE REQUIRED !!
